I have attended Queens College for four years now and have grew very fond of my professors and the campus. I found a great interest in the study of Anthropology, while completing a class that fullfilled one of my Liberal Arts categories. The intro class, Anthro 101, really opened my eyes to not only the world itself but the many changes and cultural aspects of the world we live in. Therefore, my co-major is cultural Antropology. I am currently student teaching at P.S. 184 in a second grade classroom. I have wanted to be a teacher for a very long time now and I feel so excited that I am so close to my dream career. I have a creative touch that I am very proud of .I think that is a plus because young students like visuals and hands on learning activities. I have a great amount of patience and I have the passion, to be a teacher you have to want to help and guide the young generation, and I do. I had teachers throughout my school years that made and imprint on my life and I would like to do the same.

Before entering the education program at Queens College I worked as a College Assistant at a Catholic school for an after-school progam in Corona, Queens. I worked and completed my 100 hours here, I worked with children from ages 5 through 12 years old. I supervised, helped with homework, studying, and played games. I mostly had the younger grades which can be a handful but enjoyed every minute of being with them. From time to time I tutor my next door neighbors which are in the grades 5th through high school. And I am currently working as a waitress at a family restaurant in Forest Hills called Chee Burger Chee Burger. We have family fun night every Wenesday from 6 to 8pm where many young children come to enjoy dinner and ballons and face painting. It's a very nice atmosphere to bring children they enjoy coming to dine out!

Outside of school and teaching I do lots of shopping and planning. Planning in the sense of going out finding new and interesting places or workshops. Also planning to travel, I am dying to go to Mexico, and in Feburary I want to plan a quick vacation to Vegas to celebrate my birthday. I hangout with my friends and family, they are extremely important to me. I love to decorate and I love to create scrapebooks to keep all my memories together.
